In 2007, my wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with a trip out west. One of the places that we visited was the Moab, Utah area. We chose the Sorrel River Ranch as a place to stay for several nights. The scenery around the area is nothing less than spectacular and as a photographer, I was in my element. We hiked the Fisher Towers Trail late one afternoon. It is an amazing trail that winds through towering rock formations which are popular among rock climbers. We ended our hike late in the day and watched as the sun got lower in the sky. The image below is a view of Castle Rock taken from the head of the Fisher Towers trail, nicely silhouetted by the setting sum. I added a blue filter to the image in Photoshop to really bring out the detail in the clouds for a more dramatic effect.

I hope that you enjoy the view. Comments, as always, are welcome.
