Today’s picture is another from this past summer and our visit to Pearisburg, VA. The Inn we stayed at overlooked a valley and the New River. The tree in the image stood by itself about a quarter mile from the balcony I stood on. The late day sun cast a long shadow from the tree onto the tall grass. It was a peaceful scene that reminded me of a painting the I had once seen. I used the longest lens that I had with me that day and took the image you see here… one of my favorite memories of this particular trip.
