My wife and I travelled north this Christmas to visit family in Illinois and Wisconsin. While in La Crosse, WI, we took the time to visit the Rotary Lights display at Riverside Park. The display consists of millions of LED lights and a variety of trees decorated by local groups. There was a light wind blowing that evening, so my plan of using a tripod to take some time-exposure pictures went out the window. I grabbed my fastest lens, played with the ISO a bit and put the camera on shutter priority mode. The resulting pictures displayed here showcase some of the details of the displays with a very nice use of depth of field.
